Front Office Manager

As our Front Office Manager, you will lead the Front Office team and play a key role in ensuring a smooth operation and an excellent guest experience. You will inspire and develop your colleagues, set clear goals, and ensure that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of throughout their stay.

You will also be the main point of contact for the housekeeping company's supervisor and the night team. As part of the hotel's management team, you will report directly to the Hotel General Manager and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.

At Holiday Inn Express, we work with small, hands-on teams where collaboration, flexibility, and a proactive approach are essential. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching, motivating, and training Front Office team members.

  
  

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining operational procedures and quality standards, including regular checks.

  
  

• Contributing to the hotel's financial and occupancy targets through effective upselling and cross-selling.

  
  

• Managing personnel-related matters, including:

  
  

  • Preparing and approving staff schedules.

    
    

  • Ensuring optimal staffing levels.

    
    

  • Supporting recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of new colleagues.

    
    

  • Conducting performance and appraisal conversations.

    
    

  • Supporting the professional development and motivation of the team.

    
    

• Ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining excellent communication between departments.

  
  

• Taking ownership of guest satisfaction, service quality, and operational performance.

  
  

We are looking for someone who combines a genuine passion for hospitality with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.

Ideally, you:

• Have a natural talent for hospitality and enjoy making guests feel at home.

  
  

• Are service-minded, proactive, and always willing to go the extra mile.

  
  

• Have at least four years of Front Office experience, preferably with leadership responsibilities.

  
  

• Are confident working independently, taking responsibility, and making decisions when needed.

  
  

• Bring a positive attitude, a good sense of humour, and enthusiasm to your work.

  
  

• Are flexible and comfortable working morning and evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

  
  

• Have a good command of Dutch and/or English; additional languages are a plus.

  
  

• Work accurately and confidently with administrative tasks and hotel systems.

  
  

• Are organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.

  
  

• Enjoy coaching colleagues, building a strong team spirit, and working together to achieve shared goals.

On the 4th of August 2012, the hotel Holiday Inn Express Utrecht - Papendorp opened its 118 hotel rooms for the world. The hotel has the Great Room, where guests can enjoy breakfast, dinner and entertainment. The business center has all the necessities for business guests. In addition, the hotel has two modern meeting rooms, so that business guests are well catered for here. The hotel is located next to the A2 & A12 and only 10 minutes away from the Jaarbeurs, Central Station and the largest indoor shopping center in the Netherlands, Hoog Catharijne. This makes it ideal that parking is free. With the right attitude, growth within our hotels is in everyone's reach.

The hotel Holiday Inn Express Utrecht - Papendorp belongs to the portfolio of The Vincent Hotel Group. This is the umbrella organization that has a total of 11 hotels and a head office (Support Office).

Op 14 augustus 2012 opende het hotel Holiday Inn Express Utrecht Papendorp haar deuren.
